Who We Are
Cut Once Construction is a family-owned and veteran-owned business based in Livermore and serving the Tri-Valley. We keep our operation intentionally small so each project gets direct owner involvement, practical planning, clear communication, and attention to detail from start to finish.
As a Livermore general contractor and Tri-Valley contractor, we take pride in workmanship and in treating each project — whether it is a simple fence repair, a full pergola build, or a larger residential construction scope — with the same level of care and planning. You get one point of contact, consistent communication, and a clear proposal before any work begins.

We work throughout Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, Tracy, and nearby areas. We source from local lumber yards and suppliers when we can — supporting local businesses and keeping turnaround times practical.
American-Made
We prefer American-made materials, hardware, and products when practical and available. Not every product on every job can be sourced that way, but we make it a priority when it fits the project.
Quality Materials
We select materials matched to the project, the budget, and what will hold up over time. Options are explained upfront — not picked for you after the fact. Redwood, cedar, Douglas fir, steel, and pressure-treated lumber are among the materials we work with regularly.
Residential First, Commercial Capable
Most of our work is focused on homeowners and residential properties. That is our primary audience and the work we know best. We take on fence replacements, custom gate builds, pergola and patio cover projects, deck builds, and general outdoor construction for residential clients throughout the Tri-Valley.
We also handle select general contracting scopes when the project is a good fit. That can include small additions, ADUs, sheds, repairs, decks, outdoor structures, and other residential improvements. We take these projects on selectively, where our experience and the scope are the right match.
We also work with select commercial and multifamily clients for fencing, gates, access, repairs, outdoor structures, and general construction scopes where our experience fits. These jobs follow the same approach — clear scope, clear proposal, and practical project management for the size and type of work involved.
Permit Support When Your Project Requires It
Some projects are simple. Others require permits, inspections, or city/county coordination. Cut Once Construction has years of experience working with municipalities and can help guide permitted projects from application through inspection scheduling and permit closeout when required. We help keep the process organized so homeowners understand what is needed before work begins.
Depending on the project, that support can include permit applications, basic plan and scope coordination, city or county communication, inspection scheduling, correction coordination when needed, and helping move the permit toward final inspection and closeout.
